"The term "Beacon" is intentional. Our use of a lighthouse is also intentional. Beacons are people who "show us the way". They are examples that others may follow. They may have excelled as athletes or coaches in our Salem-Keizer public high schools. They may have been administrators who have guided, promoted, and valued high school athletics. Or they may have been one of the myriad of high school supporters without whom our S-KSD high school athletics could not happen. In all cases they must be exemplary members of our community.
